| Worlockmolly kindly messaged the groupm with these superb links to Freactal Resources: Fractal Software: [link] Fractal Utilities and Software etc [link] Fractal Extreme Software: [link] Thanks Millions to Worlockmolly for your great links! Here are ones I have mentioned in an above section of this group page, again: There are two programmes which you can download for free to creat amazing Fractals here are the links to them: For Windows 7 users: [link] Another free programme: [link] There ia a great resource for add on's for the above programmes to be found at: [link] I think this is well worth looking at as well for designing Fractals: [link] Down the left handside of this group are download buttons to other fantastic Fractal design programmes: [link] If you know of other easy to use Fractal programmes please post the links to them on this group. I was asked by a member of DA how I created my fractals, since they had tried but were not happy with the results they had gained, this was my reply: What I do is I work in Apo7x (for windows 7 users) which I downloaded from: [link] If you don't use Windows 7 you can download another version of this from: [link] Once you have either version you can then download additional flames and gradients from the fractal resources groups for Apophysis like this one: [link] and: [link] There are many others on DA. Once you have saved your flames and gradients to a folder on your desktop with the version of Apo then you simply open up the programme, select a flame, and then click the button labelef fx (Editor tool) and a box opens with triangles in it. I just move the triangles around until I like what I see and then I edit the gradient by clicking the button with cascaded folders on it labeled 'image size'. I move the gradient bar about until i like the colours and then I click the drop down box and select 1000 to render it. Once it renders I then right click on the image itself and then select "Full Screen", I let it render full screen and then I press the up arrow key and the print screen button on my keyboard to get a screen shot, and then I right click on the image again and select "Close". Then I open up MS Paint, and on my keyboard I press CTRL and V. I then select "Save As" and I name the file and select png. The I open the image in Adobe Photoshop Elements and I alter the brightness and contrast until I have it righht. I crop the image, then resize it to a much larger file ie: 345 pixels x 570 pixels becomes 5345 x whatever the contraint multiples the height by. I save as a maxium (12) quality PNG and then submit the file to DA. If I manip the image I re-open it in Adobe Photoshop Elements and just change the hues or add characters or object etc. Save again as a large file and a PNG and submit to DA. Its so simple, it only takes me a few minutes to create each of my fractals. There are so many ways to do this but this is the way I do it. Happy fractaling, Hugs, Kaz xx |
